How the directory is built
Five directories already exist. We kept the parts that help someone hire.
This page is the placeholder the customer is reviewing. The real listings come after this look is accepted.
01
Avvo
Take
Search is the front door: what you need, where, then a profile with a phone number on it.
Leave
The 1–10 rating. A number like that reads as a promise about skill.
02
Justia
Take
A short list of matters, each with its own page, and cards that carry year admitted, school, and the courts the lawyer names.
Leave
“Best lawyers” in the title, and badges that do not tell you anything you can check.
03
FindLaw
Take
Explain the problem before you show the lawyers. A housing page should say Housing Court is per borough.
Leave
Sponsored results that look organic, and lead forms that hide the lawyer.
04
Martindale-Hubbell
Take
Credentials and comments stay separate. The firm is on the profile, and so are the other lawyers there.
Leave
Peer-review medals, and a phone number you have to click to reveal.
05
Super Lawyers
Take
Five boroughs on the first screen, quiet cards, one line of focus.
Leave
“Super,” “top,” and “rising.” Those words are a ranking. This directory is a list.
What that becomes here
- Every profile in this preview is fictional. Phones use the 555 exchange. Emails are example.com.
- Sort is year admitted. Earlier means longer on the roll. It is not a quality score.
- Borough pages exist because Kings County is not New York County.
